This article reports that in light of growing concerns over energy conservation, gas prices and natural resource depletion a variety of renewable energy solutions are coming up in towns and cities around the world. Holland Inc., owner of Burgerville and Noodlin' restaurants in Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington, has committed to using wind power for 100 percent of its electricity needs, both at its chain stores and at its corporate headquarters in Vancouver, Washington. In White Rock, British Columbia, a new 20,000 square foot Choices Market has been designed and built to embrace the latest in environmental technology. Mark Vickars, C.E.O. said that in building this store, the mission was to close the loop and whatever goes into the store comes out of the store, in the most environmentally friendly way imaginable.
