ABSTRACT
Reports on the development of a coupled-structure S-to-C-band amplifier with a 94-nanometer gain bandwith from 1476 to 1570 nanometer by scientists at the National Chiao Tung University and the Industrial Technology Institute, Chungwa Telecom Co. and Yuan Ze University in Taiwan. Construction of the coupled-structure amplifier from an S-band erbium-doped fiber amplifier module; Use of wavelength-division-multiplexing couplers.
