ABSTRACT
This article reports that in a speech before the American Legislative Exchange Council in Grapevine, Texas in early August 2005, U.S. President George W. Bush outlined a whole bunch of things his government is doing. Some of the things are: Fighting wars of liberation, countering terrorists, developing a new energy policy, enacting legal reforms, and negotiating free trade agreements. Bush said that the government can pass law, government can hand out money, but government cannot put hope in a person's heart, or a sense of purpose in a person's life.
