ABSTRACT
This article reports that a delegation of five British scientists and engineers recently visited China on a fact-finding mission. They were supported by the EPSRC under an Interact scheme. In the period March 25-April 10, 2005, the team conducted a whirlwind tour of Universities and non-destructive testing research centers to initiate an exchange of ideas and potential collaborations between Great Britain and China. The team was led by professor Gui Y. Tian, of Huddersfield University, whose input was invaluable to the organizational and planning matters of this visit. The Chinese Society coordinated their visit for Non-Destructive Testing, through the chairman who is presently Professor Shen Jianzhong.
