ABSTRACT
The article discusses how to apply for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. One can go to the Baldrige National Quality Program Web site for a copy of criteria and a self-assessment guide. One could begin with a simple but powerful Baldrige core values and concepts assessment to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement. One can start at the state level to get valuable experience. Check to see if your state is one of the 41 states that has a performance excellence award based on the Baldrige criteria.
