Reports on the launch of an expanded industry track program during the American Ceramic Society's 107th Annual Meeting in Baltimore in March 2005. Aim of the "Fuels and Alternative Energy Resources" program to explore alternative energy resources; Possibility for glass and ceramic manufacturers to integrate renewable energy sources into their system; Consideration of using wind turbines and photovoltaic arrays for power requirements; Consideration of applying natural forms of fuels including biogas and biodiesel fuel.
