Predictions for the electromagnetic form factors of the A, σ and Ξ hyperons are presented. The numerical calculations are performed within the framework of the fully relativistic constituent-quark model developed by the Bonn group. The computed magnetic moments compare favorably with the experimentally known values. Most magnetic form factors Gm-(Q2) can be parameterized in terms of a dipole with cutoff masses ranging from 0.79 to 1.14 GeV.

We investigate the Jp = 1/2- baryons in the octets based on flavor SU(3) symmetry. Since baryons with same quantum numbers can mix with each other, we consider the mixing between two octets before their mixing with the singlet. Most predicted decay widths are consistent with the experimental...

The present status of the thermal model is reviewed and the recently discovered sharp peak in the K+/Ï€+ ratio is discussed in this framework. It is shown that the rapid change is related to a transition from a baryon-dominated hadronic gas to a meson-dominated one. Further experimental tests...

The baryonic decays of J/ψ provide a new way to study the internal structure of baryons. A simple diquark model applied to the calculation of the BB decay cross-sections is compared with the ordinary constituent quark model. Various models also give different predictions for the rates...
