ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the practice of favoring the agents by the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) in thwarting the new Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) rules. Aito council member Noel Josephides wrote to Travel Trade Gazette about his frustration after Abta confirmed it would be be seeking a judicial review to challenge the CAA document. He added that Abta is favouring agent members at the expense of operator members. No operator worries about competition as they live with it every day but they like it to be from companies trading on equal terms.
