ABSTRACT
This article provides information on renewable energy resources in Pakistan. Research and development efforts to continuing improve these technologies and some of these technologies may prove significant in providing the energy requirements for the future. Solar energy and wind energy are two great options. In the recent years significant work has been done to map the solar radiations in Pakistan and a very good data has been obtained on the solar intensity, the hours and the angles of the sun at various times of the day through out the year. The solar intensity increases from north to south, and can be utilized for power generation through photovoltaic system.
