ABSTRACT
The article reports that a panel, held on November 11, 2004, at the Brookings Institution in Washington D.C. examined "Palestinian Politics after Arafat: What's next?" Amjad Atallah, a former member of the Palestinian Authority's Negotiation Affairs Department, said that, when discussing the failure of the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, any attempt to pin the blame on any single individual is disingenuous. The three major institutions that have survived the Palestinian leader Yasir Arafat are the Palestine Liberation Organization, the Palestinian Authority, and Fatah, Atallah noted.
