ABSTRACT
This article reports on issues arising out of a possible merger between Blockbuster Entertainment Corp. and Hollywood Video Inc. Blockbuster shares shot up in trading after Hollywood chairman and CEO Mark Wattles announced that hopes of engineering a private buyout are first fading, meaning Blockbuster could well emerge as the winning suitor in the auction of Hollywood.
