ABSTRACT
The article presents news related to the deadline of the Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) for the manufacturers and distributors of 13-SEER equipments. As the January 23, 2006 deadline for manufacturers to produce minimum 13-SEER equipment comes closer, many distributors are still uncertain about how they will handle the transition. Recognizing the larger footprint of 13-plus-SEER units compared to those of 10- and 12-SEER equipment, distributors are expanding warehouse space and already computing the effect of trucking changes.
