Vocabulary Improvement Using Visual Stimuli

In the last decade, brain research has introduced the phenomena of multiple intelligences. This knowledge can be useful in targeting the at-risk student population, many of whom display distinctively nonverbal learning styles. The purpose of the author's research was to develop and study the affects of visual stimuli in the improvement and development of vocabulary in the English classroom curriculum. The author evaluates the effectiveness of visual stimulus as a tool to enhance long-term memory for all students, but particularly at-risk students.
