ABSTRACT
The article reports on the methanol project in Henan Yima with a total investment of RMB1.6 billion which has recently been approved by Henan Development and Reform Commission. It is the first demonstrative project of coal chemical bases in Henan. The project is jointly funded by Henan Kaixiang Power Industry Investment Co. Ltd. and Hong Kong Xinyuan Industrial Co Ltd at an equity ratio of 68:32. It has a total area of 30 hectares and a total investment of RMB1.6 billion. The first phase has a capacity of 200 000 t/a, an investment of RMB830 million and an area of 18 hectares. The world advanced technology from Shell will be used and the construction period will be 18 months.
