ABSTRACT
Globalization has emerged as a new characteristic of the contemporary world. This article examines attitudes in Russia toward globalization and the changes in these viewpoints after a decade of taking part in the process. Apart from Russia's drive toward the outside world as a whole, Russian regions have become active actors in globalization. There are points of intersection between the two processes of globalization and the internationalization of Russia's regions. Finally, it sees the role of regionalization in Russia's movement toward greater involvement in global processes.
