The article debates on pros and cons of South Korea's president Roh Moohyun's impeachment. It is clear that the one who has been trapped by this impeachment fiasco is President Moohyun. However, while he is regaining his bearings, the opposition parties are becoming increasingly apprehensive. The pro-government party is displaying unity, whereas the opposition camp is steadily disintegrating. Opinion surveys conducted shortly before and after the impeachment of the president revealed little change in the public's sentiments, except for changes in the approval ratings for individual political parties.
