ABSTRACT
Points out that Israelis and Palestinians have to move beyond the catch of victimhood and learn to understand each other's pain, as a step toward peace. Effects of the feeling of being victims; Mutual feelings of victimization demonstrated in the Holocaust or Shoah and the Catastrophe or Al-Nakba; Serious need for each side to recognize the pain, morality and legitimacy of the other's narrative, without raising any issue of moral superiority.
