Focuses on the final rules about the endangered status of Santa Ana sucker, a common fish in southern California, contained in the 2000 Endangered Species Act. Habitation of this fish on small and shallow streams and tributaries throughout the Los Angeles basin; Threats to the species that includes water diversions, channelization and concrete lining of streams; Isolation and fragmentation of the remaining populations through the use of dams.
