Deals with the approach developed by John Kitzhaber, a former governor of Oregon and physician Mark Gibson, his health policy adviser during his gubernatorial tenure, to control prescription drug costs in the Medicaid programs of U.S. states. U.S. states that partnered with Oregon in the Center for Evidence-based Policy which will research on the effectiveness of drugs; Amount that each U.S. state would pay to finance the effort.
