ABSTRACT
This article discusses the decision of Great Britain to rapidly move towards lowering carbon dioxide emissions and increasing the energy security of the country. Topics covered include the plan of the British government to further cut the 1990 greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, the author's attendance in a Heat Network Consultant course to gain a better understanding of the Heat Network Code of Practice, and the main differences between heat networks in Great Britain and Sweden.
