ABSTRACT
In this article the author, who is the executive director of the organization American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT), presents information related to AASECT. He informs the reader about the recently shipped mailing to all AASECT members. He requests the members to inform him of any change of addresses. he further suggests that members must inform at the earliest for renewal of memberships and certificates in order to avoid the rush. He requests the exhibitors for the next conference in Las Vegas to help in keeping registration costs reasonable. And also help him in finding sponsoring exhibitors. There is a request for volunteers from the Western District to help in the Las Vegas exhibition next June. Complete details on the diplomate in sex therapy category will be available soon. Therapists seeking diplomate in sex therapy status will have to submit a request in writing to the national office. A one-time fee of $25 is necessary to cover the database changes for diplomates. Diplomate status will only apply for sex therapists who are certified by AASECT by December 31, 2002 and certification expiration dates will remain as they are for each individual's specific certification despite the change in status.
