ABSTRACT
MOSCOW. Sept 18 (Interfax) - Might Polyus Gold, the No.1 Russian gold miner, become entirely privately owned? Firms owned by the Kerimovs already own more than 40% of the miner, and another 50% is owned by businessmen in one way or other friendly to them. A public offer could open up the opportunity for a squeeze-out, and if the Kerimovs make an offer and all other major shareholders accept, only 3.12% of the shares will be left to gather in.
