ABSTRACT
In the article, the author discusses developments in the efforts to eradicate the disease called polio around the world as of September 2015. He claims that the disease is already eliminated in African countries like Somalia and Nigeria, and is now confined in the border of Pakistan and Afghanistan, with forecast that it will be eradicated within five years. Also cited are the book "Living with Polio," by Daniel Wilson and the mass immunisation scheme by Rotary International in the Philippines.
