The article offers information on the energy shortage experienced by South Asian countries. The topics discussed include the efforts of the international organization the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) in searching for sustainable solutions to resolve energy shortage, the challenges experienced in harmonizing the global energy regional policies, and the huge renewable energy potential of the region.
