It also highlights the journal articles and issues that focus on multicultural topics, along with news items related to the development of multicultural curricula. In the book Geometry Activities From Many Cultures by Beatrice Lumpkin, teachers of geometry will be able to broaden the scope of their lessons with lesson plans for 64 multicultural activities. The book 61 Cooperative Learning Activities for Global History Classes by Kate O'Halloran, on the other hand, contains 61 activities that are arranged chronologically from 23, 000 B.C. to 1998. Each contains a detailed lesson plan with objectives, recommendation for group size and the number of groups needed and step-by-step procedures. The book Teaching and Learning in a Diverse World: Multicultural Education for Young Children by Patricia G. Ramsey, designed for early childhood and elementary teachers has been significantly updated and revised from its first publication in 1987. Teaching Alive! Education, Diversity and excellence, a multimedia program published by the U.S. Center for Research on Education, Diversity & Excellence, offers information and video example of successful programs for at-risk and limited English-proficient students.
