ABSTRACT
Comments on Israeli anxiety about losing its military gains from the Six Day War. Largely unfounded fear that the administration of U.S. President Lyndon B. Johnson and Russia, or the United Nations, will pressure Israel to relinquish conquered territories; Likelihood that demarcation lines will remain for decades; Israel's realization that it will cost much to keep its territories; Problem of how to avoid outraging the religious susceptibilities of assimilated Muslim Arabs; Government structure that is outmoded and out of tune with the dynamic quality of Israeli life.
