ABSTRACT
This Practical Strategies section details recent work of Dr Nea Stewart-Dore, building on her review of the ERICA model (Morris & Stewart-Dore, 1984) which provided strategies for helping students to learn from text. In considering ways to develop multiliteracies, Nea developed the i.Plan model, which provides a pedagogical framework with four phases - i.link, i.think, i.know and i.show - to engage students in learning from texts.
