ABSTRACT
The article discusses the fiscal impact of the Fourteenth Finance Commission's (FFC's) recommendations for the fiscal space of the central and state governments made in the 2015-16 Union Budget presented by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government in India. It is said that greater fiscal autonomy is given to the states by ensuring more than 70% of the fund flow through the Commission.
